In a development that we can quite fairly say surprised not just us but the entire college football recruiting world, blue-chip offensive lineman Aamil Wagner announced his commitment to Notre Dame today. Usually the recruiting sites have content pre-written because the recruit has tipped them off, and when the announcement comes they just push all [...]
Notre Dame's 2023 recruiting class added its 6th member and second 5-star of the cycle on Wednesday night as linebacker Drayk Bowen out of Andrean High School (2015 recruit Josh Barajas' school) in Merrillville, Indiana gave his verbal pledge to the Fighting Irish. He was offered by Notre Dame on February 12th of this year [...]
Notre Dame picked up its fifth 2023 commitment today when Florida running back Sedrick Irvin Jr. committed to Notre Dame. The 5'10", 190-pound Floridian is in fact the son of that Sedrick Irvin, who fans of the late-90s Irish will remember running very well for Nick Saban's Michigan State, and the cousin of Michael Irvin. Pops [...]
If you thought our last scholarship update back in May was confusing with all of the new rules going on with college football there's more to learn for the future. According to various reports, the Division-1 Oversight Committee is expected to pass a temporary law next month that will allow football programs the opportunity to [...]
Welcome back to another Notre Dame football recruiting big board update, folks. You may remember from a few weeks ago that we have officially consolidated our offensive and defensive targets into a single board. With the Irish already having 21 commits already in the fold for the class of 2022 and limited spots remaining, it [...]
John McNulty and Tommy Rees landed the first offensive commit from the class of 2023 on Thursday when 4-star tight end Cooper Flanagan verbally committed to the Fighting Irish. The 6'5"/230-pounder out of Concord, California is the 4th player to join Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2023 -- a class which currently ranks 3rd in [...]
Ladies and gentleman, it is time to consolidate the board. We're officially moving from doing separate offense and defense updates to doing one comprehensive update, since the board is down to 12 total prospects with a non-zero level of mutual interest. That non-zero level is defined as having a temperature of "Cool" or better, if [...]
Notre Dame's 2023 class added its third prospect today when four-star athlete Adon Shuler announced for the Irish. The 6'0", 190-pound New Jerseyan earned his offer by camping at Notre Dame in early June, then showed his interest was serious by returning for the BBQ at the end of July. While he's currently ranked as [...]
Notre Dame added its third wide receiver to the 2022 recruiting class today when top 100 target CJ Williams announced for the Irish. There was pro-Irish buzz for a long time around the 6'2", 193-pound Californian and Alabama legacy; now, he's set to become the first Mater Dei product to wear the blue and gold [...]
Notre Dame's 2022 recruiting class reached the 20-person mark on Wednesday with the addition of wide receiver Tobias Merriweather out of Union High School in southwestern Washington State just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. He was offered on November 19, 2020 and becomes the 2nd receiver in the class for the Fighting Irish. [...]
Wooooo-ie, has it been a busy month since we last updated the board. Fourteen prospects with Notre Dame offers committed elsewhere, one flipped a longtime commitment to an in-state rival, one decomitted from a powerhouse program, and one new Irish offer went out. The Offense Board A reminder on how we do this - we'll [...]
Notre Dame's 2022 recruiting class gained its fourth defensive back today when four-star corner Benjamin Morrison announced for the Irish. The 6'0", 172-pound Arizonan caught our attention several months ago when describing his high school, Brophy College Prep, in this interview with 247's Kevin Sinclair (free): “It's hard to explain how one feels about Brophy [...]
Notre Dame added arguably the jewel of its 2022 class today when elite linebacker Jaylen Sneed announced for the Irish. The 6'2", 210 pound South Carolinian had a late flirtation with Oregon, reportedly a favorite program of his younger years, but the Irish and particularly defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Marcus Freeman were determined to keep the [...]
It was an extremely busy month of June for the Notre Dame staff. With multiple commits since our last update, the Irish have been reaping the benefits from those three weeks of official visits -- and they're not done yet. The Irish are still expecting a couple of more commits in the near future, and [...]
Notre Dame football got one step closer to completing its 2022 defensive back haul this Independence Day when cornerback/safety prospect Devin Moore verbally committed to the Fighting Irish. The 6'3"/190-pounder out of Naples, FL is the 18th player to join Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2022 -- the 10th on the defensive side of the [...]
