Today we debut our 17th Notre Dame football uniform concept. Among our archives this is also the 5th concept that features a white jersey.
The approach with this one was simple and that was to create an uniform where no blue mixed with gold. At first I was going to use this scheme with the traditional uniforms but that wouldn’t be too much of a change and would basically just be the 1960’s era set anyway.
A nice change was adding a blue outlined leprechaun on the sleeves and then a blue monogram at the base of the collar. It makes things different but isn’t venturing too far away from the traditional uniform.
For some reason, I get a mid-80’s vibe from this uniform which is strange. I think it’s largely due to the fact that the last time the Irish wore plain blue numbers with no outline in the 1984-85 seasons.
Clean set. I’d probably go with a white monogram instead of shamrock on the pants, but that’s the only tweak I can think of. Nice concept
Maybe gold on the sleeves behind the white leprechaun to make it stand out more.
Where them green helmets at?!?
Patience!
I wonder what it would look like to do a real white jersey set and combine it with some Color Rush principles? White pants, white shirt, white logos/monograms(with some sort of reflective material to make it visible). The numbers would have to be contrasting color by rule, but everything else almost completely white. Even the helmets maybe with only a little bit of gold for a decal.
What color numbers?
You could use your St Mary’s blue, a very light gold maybe?
