Today we move on to our 26th uniform concept for Notre Dame football. You may have noticed to this point that we’re definitely stepping outside the box with some of these and one of the many ways to produce different concepts is to mess around with combinations of shades of colors.
Today’s effort is messing around with green.
A couple years ago USF broke out a uniform called “SoFloBulls” that was partly inspiration for today’s concept. In 2016, the Bulls wore a variation of that uniform which was pretty solid, too. A couple weeks ago against Tulsa, they busted out an all-white set that is simply terrific and has some similar qualities to our “Tropical Irish.”

This one is simple but pretty effective. Arguably, it’d be worth using during say, a bowl game in Florida?
That, but with the colors of the Irish flag. It’d be sweet.
Concept No. 15 was kind of in that realm.
This will be perfect for when we schedule our 13th game every year against Hawaii.
I always wonder how hard Swarbrick laughs when the “13th game at Hawaii” talk starts up every year.
We could schedule Navy week one in Hawaii, huge Naval presence. Then play Hawaii the following Saturday. And screw the NCAA, because they are freaking stupid anyway, and just start everything a week earlier so kids can get back for the start of class. Then we take our first of 2 bye weeks because we are a week ahead.
I don’t even care if this is a 13th game or not. What recruit is going to turn down a week in Hawai’i every year?
CHAMPIONSHIP
Great idea – this can also help ND build a solid recruiting pipeline with the Hawaii schools!
Very different, I like it!
I think that ND should mix up the regular road jerseys – instead of the white tops / gold pants, how about white / white as the regular road jerseys?
Love me some tequila sunrise jerseys. Yes, yes, and yes!
These look great. Maybe we could incorporate some of the fading color schemes into the facemask or better yet, the visor!
