A ‘rivalry forged in history’ says the press release from Under Armour. On Sunday morning, the Ireland Collection was released for Notre Dame and Navy’s game later this month in the Aer Lingus Classic in Dublin. The release features alternate uniforms for both programs in addition to several t-shirts, hoodies, and polos commemorating the event.

Notre Dame will be wearing their standard home uniforms with a few minor tweaks:

The jersey sleeves are adorned with a Gaelic pattern on either side of the ND monogram which has dropped its normal gold outline and is presented in white only. On the back, a thin sliver of the Irish flag rests at the top of collar while while a gold shamrock design with the year “2023” and a Claddagh ring sits below that.

The Naval Academy–who are introducing new uniforms for 2023 with large shoulder stripes–will be wearing similar changes running through their shoulder stripes in the form of a pattern. According to the press release, Notre Dame’s stripes come from a pattern inside the Golden Dome administration building while Navy’s pattern comes from a standard naval Carrick Bend knot.

The last time Notre Dame and Navy coordinated on uniforms was back in 2015 and that included gloves, socks, cleats, and base layer shirts. The Notre Dame press release shows the player in standard white cleats and socks, although the release from Under Armour shows both players from the Irish and Midshipmen in the same white/gold cleats and their own Irish Collection socks with their respective logos and pattern. The UA press release also shows the Notre Dame player in a black chinstrap.

Under Armour has released a select few items on their website from the game, although Notre Dame has their full set of apparel to be sold, including the game jersey, both on the official website and also on Fanatics. You can preview the apparel in this photo slider below:
