We are either in the middle of or about to enter a major gradient phase in sports uniforms. It’s not something that’s easy to pull off especially in large quantities. In recent years, a handful of teams have jumped in including some of them linked below:
And so, for our 40th uniform concept for Notre Dame I decided to take a jump off the diving board and cannonball into an Irish gradient uniform without hesitation.
The result is either the greatest uniform in history of the world or the worst. Maybe it’s both.
Let’s get Tropical, Jackie Moon!
Oh.
BEST concept yet. recalls the 2013 shamrock series uni’s which were hands down the best alternates ND has ever worn.
Yeah, a bit. Also, a little inspiration from our 18 Stripes logos.
Yep. Also see a little peak Bucks uniform:
One of my favorites of all-time, definitely an inspiration as well.
I love the gradients as color schemes/designs in general, and as uniforms (except for AU since it just jumps from shades of red to blue. If they had done the red shades then straight to white it might have been the sharpest of all) .
I think this would look really cool in live action. Probably the one I would actually want to see on the field the most. I think the stark green to white looks great, and the excellent helmet and socks work well with that.
Ironically, I would never buy this jersey to wear myself. I think you need the jersey/pants combo to really make it work.
I’m going to call these the “Hey look, my balls are a different shade” unis. No, just…no.Helmet is nice, the rest of this is a big miss.
I feel like I should hate it, but I actually like it a lot. As long as we don’t bring up USF. Never mention USF.
just makes me think of those old orange gradient fast food soda cups. One of which i have spent the last 30min looking for a picture and came up with nothing. Intern year needs to start already.
This one earns a “nope, please don’t ever wear these”. The helmet is okay, but the rest…
Could you do a Soylent Green concept?
Anything is possible.
You might think it’s the concepts and processes that make Soylent Green all that it is.
But it’s the people. It really is the people.
