Just a couple more weeks remain in the regular season. This 2024 campaign has been quite the slow burn, especially as Notre Dame works its way back from the NIU loss and has been slowly moving up the rankings each week.

I had a good week 12 with straight up picks only missing the Arizona State upset of Kansas State. I wanted to pick it, though! Against the spread it was an even week. Tulane beat Navy and easily covered, Boston College kept things close enough to cover in a loss to SMU, and I correctly picked the Kansas upset of BYU.

Saturday Games
#5 Indiana [+13.5] at #2 Ohio State
12:00 PM, Fox
The era of the Fox Big Noon Kickoff continues as the Big Ten serves up the game of the week. It’s late November and Indiana is involved in a top 5 matchup! No doubt, this is a tough spot for the Hoosiers. They’ve lost 28(!!) straight to the Buckeyes and now they walk into the lion’s den that is Columbus, a place where they’ve won only once since the Korean War. Everyone is waiting for Indiana to lose and they’ll probably drop like a rock in the rankings if they do. A win by the Hoosiers here would be absolutely wild though, and perhaps crushing for Ryan Day’s tenure. I think it’ll be close but no cigar for the visitors.
Ohio State 32
Indiana 27
#9 Ole Miss [-10.5] at Florida
12:00 PM, ABC
The SEC has 8 teams currently ranked by the playoff committee and Ole Miss is 9th overall from this Tuesday’s TV show despite being 6th in the SEC standings. They have wins over 2 ranked teams (including Georgia) so are they safe? The Rebels probably can’t make the SEC Championship without a decent amount of help but need to be focused on not screwing up in Gainesville against a little bit of a resurgent Florida team feeling good after beating LSU.
Ole Miss is pointing at the playoffs in their future.

Florida 20
#14 BYU [+3] at #21 Arizona State
3:30 PM, ESPN
BYU went from being undefeated to underdogs in Tempe. Things change quickly! Arizona State wideout Jordyn Tyson had a great true freshman season at Colorado in 2022, sat out 2023 with a leg injury, and has been on fire (58 receptions, 833 yards, 9 TD) in his first season with the Sun Devils. All of the other receivers have caught just 32 passes in 2024! This ASU team is so weird and with a win they could be lined up with a Big 12 Championship against Tyson’s former program.
Arizona State 42
BYU 40
#16 Colorado [-2.5] at Kansas
3:30 PM, Fox
But wait, what if Colorado loses to Kansas this weekend!? We could be headed into the last week of the regular season with 4 teams tied atop the Big 12 with 6-2 records. Chaos. I think I’m still pretty skeptical of this Colorado team–their best win in 2024 according to FEI is currently 4-6 Baylor. They haven’t proved that much and Kansas has gotten some of their groove back.
Kansas 48
Colorado 44
#7 Alabama [-13.5] at Oklahoma
7:30 PM, ABC
You might think this game didn’t need to be included this week. I disagree. This Alabama team has shown they are prone to some big blunders and you can’t guarantee their offense lays an enormous egg and this is a one-score game in the 4th quarter. The Sooners have a quality defense, too. If you’re the Tide you better be damn careful this weekend with a night game in Norman.
Could OU’s defense knock Alabama out of the playoff race?

Oklahoma 20
#15 Texas A&M [-2.5] at Auburn
7:30 PM, ESPN
The whole nation is looking forward to next weekend’s matchup between Texas A&M and Texas and rightfully so. But wait a minute, the Aggies travel to The Plains this weekend and being less than a field goal road favorite is throwing red flags all over the place. I think Auburn’s offense is way too trash (15.7 points per game against Power conference opponents) to win this game but their defense is going to bother A&M all day. I bet this one is super ugly.
Texas A&M 17
Auburn 14
So what we really desire is for NYC to be the normal script and the rest of CFB to be chaos.
