No alternate or one-off uniforms here. This is a series discussing the worst standard uniform changes in modern college football. The Lead Up If you're under 35 you may remember Cam Cameron as the offensive coordinator in the NFL and then with the Les Miles LSU Tigers. What you may not recall is Cameron playing [...]
The first two installments in this series probably weren't read by that many people and highlight the poor schedule strength for the Fighting Irish to open the 2026 season. A 6-0 start is expected, perhaps even demanded in the current climate surrounding Notre Dame and Marcus Freeman. Today's article is different, this is where the [...]
Notre Dame will be hoping to enter this portion of the schedule at 3-0, although the projected best quarterback of the first half of 2026 is expected in the opener at Lambeau Field. You can read more about that HERE. In our second article today, Notre Dame faces a Big Ten rival and a pair [...]
Notre Dame is expected to open up the 2026 season with a very manageable schedule, some would even call it quite easy. Not so fast! Does does some danger lurk in September during a time when Marcus Freeman has shown he's the most vulnerable as head coach of the Irish? Today, we'll take a look [...]
The Blue-Gold Game coming right during the NFL Draft was yet another example of how the college football calendar continues to frustrate with its key moments squished together. With the spring game in the rearview mirror, here's a review of the the NFL selection process from a week and a half ago. Notre Dame Draft [...]
The scoreboard read 41-40 on Saturday afternoon as the Blue team defeated the Gold team in the latest edition of the Notre Dame spring game. The complicated scoring system and lack of real tackling early on made the game difficult to watch at times, but that's par for the course with most spring games. Great [...]
For the 95th time in history the Notre Dame spring game is here. On Saturday afternoon from inside Notre Dame Stadium the Blue-Gold Game kicks off as Marcus Freeman enters a pivotal 5th season with the Irish. The weather looks like it'll cooperate with the forecast giving us temperatures in the low-to-mid 60's with some [...]
The 91st edition of the NFL Draft begins this week from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The festivities will be taking place on the North Shore in downtown Pittsburgh next to the stadium no longer called Heinz Field. They'll also be using space across the river(s) at Point State Park, as well. This is the first time since [...]
I don't know exactly when this tradition began. At some point in recent years, Notre Dame has held an intra-squad scrimmage near the end of spring practice that has been branded as The Jersey Scrimmage. As the media has been shut out from most of spring practices in recent years--and the Blue-Gold Game simultaneous becomes [...]

While Notre Dame is in the middle of spring practice I thought it was time for a roster and scholarship update. We had a brief winter look at the roster back in December but haven't done one of these full posts in nearly 5 months. It is time. Plus, now we get to make the [...]
Notre Dame opened up their 2026 spring practice workouts this past Friday on campus. Marcus Freeman has mentioned the delicate balance of preparing a team to play well straight out of the gate (especially coming off the beginning of 2025) but also not going too hard in the off-season. If there's a side in which [...]
Notre Dame is set to take open up practice this Friday, March 20th to kick off the next edition of Irish spring football. With no post-season, it'll be 111 days since the team finished up the 2025 campaign at Stanford. There should be plenty of eyes watching and ears listening to Notre Dame during this [...]
Heading into the 2025 season defensive end was looking awfully enticing for Notre Dame. Big things were expected and the unit had a really nice mix of veterans and a couple young players who looked ready to blossom even further. Dare we say this was a disappointing year? Let's dig into things. Coming Back Notre [...]
