Notre Dame added a key offensive piece to its 2022 class yesterday when four-star running back Jadarian "JD" Price announced for the Irish. The 5'11", 180-pound Texan picked up his Notre Dame offer a little over three weeks ago and was set to visit independently this week before the Lone Star State ice storm wrecked [...]
Around this time a year ago I published my annual way-too-early guess at Notre Dame's recruiting class of 2021. At the time, we were still very early into the COVID-19 pandemic, and I couldn't predict at the time what a truly unique year it would be for college football. Aside from the uncertainty that a [...]
Hopefully you enjoyed our overview of the 2021 Notre Dame recruiting class with recruit grades and some thoughts on the class. We started a deeper dive on each position group with the offensive backfield (and shoehorned the kicker into it), then we moved on to the guys whose main job is to catch the damn [...]

We started a deeper dive on each position group with the offensive backfield (and shoehorned the kicker into it). Today we're going to dig into the guys whose main job is to catch the [...]
Hopefully you enjoyed our overview of the 2021 Notre Dame recruiting class with recruit grades and some thoughts on the class. Over the next several days we'll go into a deeper dive on each position group, starting today with the offensive backfield. Plus the kicker, because he has to go somewhere. As a reminder, here's our [...]
The 2022 Notre Dame class picked up its fourth linemen recently when weakside defensive end Aiden Gobaira announced for the Irish. The 6'6", 235-pound Virginian joined recent commit Tyson Ford in the 2022 defensive line group. Ford is more acclaimed at the moment, but there are some similarities between them - both are long, quick, [...]
The End of a Strange Journey The prospects of the 2021 class undoubtedly went through the strangest recruiting experience in the post-World War II era of college football. They couldn't take real visits, couldn't view practices, couldn't go to games, couldn't have coaches visit them. When they committed, it was often to a school they [...]
Notre Dame has struggled recruiting in the secondary for numerous years and just hired a new defensive coordinator who emphasizes defensive backs on the field in a way that really hasn't happened before in school history. Recently, a swath of new offers for these types of players went out which suggests this is now a [...]
The scholarship numbers game is a lot more clear now than it was back during the wild football season played during the on-going pandemic. The Notre Dame roster has been sufficiently shaken up by off-season moves and now it's that time again for another update. These early calendar winter scholarship posts are always broken up [...]
Notre Dame added a huge piece to its 2022 class today when blue-chip defensive end Tyson Ford announced for the Irish. The 6'5", 245-pound Missourian became the fifth player and the first defensive lineman in the class. Ford also makes the 2022 class the fourth straight with a commitment from the greater St. Louis area, [...]
Notre Dame finished its Early Signing Period off strong on Friday. After Khari Gee announced he had flipped from his LSU commitment and signed with Notre Dame at noon, running back Audric Estime followed it up later in the afternoon with a flip of his own. The 6'1"/215 pound running back out of New Jersey [...]
Notre Dame landed a last-minute surprise in its 2021 defensive class today when safety Khari Gee flipped from LSU. The 6'3", 185-pound Georgian actually signed with the Irish on Wednesday and publicly announced today. LSU, by all accounts, did still want him despite landing three other safeties - five-star Sage Ryan, top 100 (and former [...]
The first big surprise of the early signing period (for Notre Dame anyway) occurred on Wednesday morning when it was announced that local legacy Ron Powlus III had signed his NLI with Notre Dame. The 6'3"/225-pounder out of Granger, Indiana joins a Notre Dame class that is currently ranked 9th in the country. The Penn [...]
Hello friends, and welcome to the 4th edition of the modern Early Signing Day for college football. Technically, today ushers in an Early Signing Period which extends through Saturday, December 19th. It's been a wild recruiting cycle thanks to Covid largely shutting down operations across the country but for Notre Dame the script has largely [...]
Notre Dame football received its 24th commit in the 2021 class on Wednesday when defensive end Devin Aupiu verbally committed to the Fighting Irish. The 6'5"/220-pounder out of California had previously been committed to Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins since April, but a Notre Dame offer from the superior Kelly in late November would [...]
