Lance Taylor will replace outgoing Irish legend Autry Denson as the new Notre Dame running backs coach, per multiple news reports. There's no official confirmation from the university yet (thanks O'Leary!), but if Taylor's Twitter header photo is any indication there's nothing to worry about on that front. No doubt one of the major attractions [...]
They say don't worry about the numbers, there will always be room. For Notre Dame recruit Marist Liufau it may turn out that there is in fact not enough room at the inn. Last week it was reported that the Fighting Irish have been planning to grayshirt the Honolulu linebacker for the 2019 football season, [...]
Coming out of the Cotton Bowl Classic loss to Clemson many Fighting Irish fans have turned their eyes toward recruiting and the quest for the elusive 5-star talents. Today's post was going to be an off-season project either way but following our meeting with Clemson I figured I'd roll this out now. I had been [...]
College football's plan to kill the real National Signing Day allow student-athletes to sign their binding Letter of Intent paperwork begins this Wednesday, December 19th and runs through Friday at the end of the week. The early signing period is upon us and good news for Irish fans, all of the current Notre Dame commits [...]
Notre Dame football fans received some excellent news tonight, as 2019 4-star linebacker JD Bertrand has verbally committed to the Fighting Irish. The 6-1/220 pounder out of Roswell, GA is the 21st commit in Notre Dame football's recruiting class of 2019 (22nd if you also want to count PWO kicker Harrison Leonard). I am very [...]
Notre Dame's recruiting machine added an unexpected piece today when linebacker Marist Liufau became the 20th member of the 2019 class. The 6'3", 210-pound Hawaiian wasn't on the radar of any casual fans and, in fact, many more dedicated recruitniks. He was, however, just on campus for an official visit, so he was quite clearly [...]
Notre Dame's recruiting Class of 2019 got a little bit bigger this Thursday night -- and it didn't even require the use of a scholarship to do so -- as specialist Harrison Leonard has committed to the Irish as a preferred walk-on. The 5-11/180 pounder out of Avon, CT visited Notre Dame back in mid [...]
We've been so busy with actual football stuff that we've yet to run through the scholarship situation since April 30th. What is college football without recruiting, we ask? The actual seasons with games are so short it sometimes feels like we're here for the recruiting more than anything else. Don't forget the early signing period [...]
Notre Dame's solid Class of 2019 received a nice boost this Saturday night, as blue chip cornerback Isaiah Rutherford has decided to verbally commit to the Fighting Irish. The 6-0/175 pounder out of Sacramento, California is the 19th commit in this Irish Class of 2019 -- a class which now includes nine players on the [...]
Notre Dame football received a big surprise Friday afternoon when 4-star wide receiver TJ Sheffield decided to verbally commit to the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame's 2019 class added another key piece on offense today when QB Brendon Clark pledged to the Irish. The 6'2", 217-pound Virginian committed to Wake Forest almost a year ago, but backed away from that commitment after his recruitment picked up steam. He picked up a Notre Dame offer in early June and visited [...]
Notre Dame's 2019 class picked up its first wideout today when Cam Hart announced for the Irish. The 6'3", 190-pound Good Counsel (MD) prospect took an unofficial visit to South Bend in early June. The Irish reportedly grabbed a big lead at that point and never looked back. Recruiting Service Rankings 247 Composite -- 3 [...]
Notre Dame received its third commitment from the Class of 2020 on Sunday when blue-chip tight end Michael Meyer announced for the Irish. The 6-5/240 pound out of Alexandria, Kentucky has been a top target of Notre Dame for a long time now since earning his offer back in December. Mayer is the third Top-150 [...]
The Irish finally landed an offensive skill player in the 2019 class when jitterbug back Kyren Williams committed to Notre Dame at his high school today. Michigan hard over the last couple of months; but the 5'10", 200-pound Missourian has had the Irish in front ever since he was offered and didn't waver. In fact [...]
Notre Dame continued its run of outstanding line recruiting with a commitment from blue-chip prospect Zeke Correll. Fresh off an official visit to South Bend, Correll cancelled his final official to Ohio State before announcing for the Irish. Correll joins Quinn Carroll, John Olmstead, and Andrew Kristofic in an offensive line class for the ages. [...]
