Notre Dame landed its second 2020 commitment yesterday when blue-chip tight end Kevin Bauman announced for the Irish. The 6'5", 230-pound New Jerseyan made his first visit to campus just 10 days ago; that first visit made such a big impression that he committed 20 months before his signing day. He has been very familiar [...]
Notre Dame football's recruiting class of 2019 continued to grow on Tuesday, as in-state linebacker Jack Kiser decided to verbally commit to the Fighting Irish. The 6-2/210-pounder from 1A Pioneer High School (Royal Center, IN) brings Notre Dame up to twelve total commits in this class, which is rated #8 overall in the 247Composite Team [...]
Notre Dame added a critical piece to the 2019 class today when punter Jay Bramblett committed to the Irish. Rigneys, rejoice! I know, nobody (besides the Rigneys) cares about specialists, but hear me out on this one... With punting stalwart Tyler Newsome in his final year of eligibility, it was absolutely critical that Notre Dame [...]
Notre Dame landed one of the most significant recruits of the Brian Kelly era today when blue-chip WDE NaNa Osafo-Mensah announced his commitment to the Irish. Is it really that big a deal, you ask? NaNa is a top-ten player at a position Notre Dame historically struggles to recruit, and he will enroll early in [...]
Notre Dame took another step to a fantastic offensive line class today when elite prospect Quinn Carroll pledged to the Irish. Offensive line coaches all across the country highly coveted Carroll, but it was Jeff Quinn who played name dominoes and got the job done. The 6'6", 295-pound Minnesota mauler made the call after numerous visits, [...]
This is our first scholarship update since right after National Signing Day and over the past 2+ months the football team has completed spring practice and moves toward the long, dark summer of little news and a lot of off-season workouts. For some strange reason, it feels like there's been a lot of roster upheaval [...]
Notre Dame continued the infusion of talent into the defensive backfield when safety Kyle Hamilton announced his commitment today. Scroll right past the rankings for this kid and watch his film, which is against serious competition in the Atlanta area. He can flat-out play, and coaching staffs around the country chased him accordingly. Hamilton is [...]
You know how I know Jeff Quinn is butter? Because he's on a roll. Andrew Kristofic became the second lineman to join the Irish fold this month when he announced for Notre Dame today, fresh off an unofficial visit. With Kristofic and John Olmstead on board, and Quinn Carroll likely to join them within the [...]
Notre Dame continued its strong recruiting weekend Sunday morning, picking up a commitment from 4-star defensive end Howard Cross. That name might sound familiar to you, and for good reason. This Howard is the son of long-time New York Giant and Super Bowl Champion, Howard Cross. So the Irish landed a 4-star defensive end with [...]
Notre Dame's 2019 recruiting class picked up a talented defensive back when provisional All-Time All-Name Team member Litchfield Ajavon announced for the Irish today. The 6'0", 185-pound Virginian pushed the lever for the Irish after making his third visit to campus earlier this month; he attended Irish Invasion last June and also visited for the [...]
Notre Dame's 2019 recruiting class picked up its fourth commit (again) when New Jersey lineman John Olmstead announced for the Irish at his school today. The 6'6", 290-pound behemoth was in the "ND lean" bucket for quite some time; his affinity was solidified on an early April visit, after which he scheduled his announcement. Olmstead [...]
Notre Dame's 2020 recruiting class started with a resounding bang when elite signal caller Drew Pyne pledged to the Irish today. Many probably missed this at the time, but Drew's tweet when Notre Dame offered last June left little doubt: Extremely happy and very excited to receive an offer from Notre Dame‼☘🇮🇪 pic.twitter.com/VL0vf9dq4u — Drew [...]
Signing Day 2019 is almost a full year away, which means it's time for another way-too-early guess at who the Fighting Irish will end up landing for this cycle. As you probably remember, I did one of these posts last year. I was not as accurate as I had hoped. Will my guess be more [...]
Notre Dame's 2019 recruiting class picked up its fourth commit and second blue-chip defensive lineman yesterday when Hunter Spears announced for the Irish. The 6'4", 280-pound Texas monster visited for the USC game last season and again for the cycle's first junior day a few weeks ago. Notably, he's the fourth commit from that USC [...]
