On National Signing Day, we posted an overview of the 2018 Notre Dame recruiting class with recruit grades and some thoughts on the class. Wednesday, we discussed our grades for the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver positions; yesterday, it was the big boys, offensive linemen and tight ends. Today we move over to the [...]

On National Signing Day, we posted an overview of the 2018 Notre Dame recruiting class with recruit grades and some thoughts on the class. This is the first post of a four-part series that will dive into a little more detail on the class, giving each of Eric, Jaden, Tyler's, and my grades and comments [...]
As we continue to review the 2018 Notre Dame recruiting class I wanted to spend a little time on the efforts of our rivals and some upcoming premier opponents. A quick note I won't be covering Navy as they technically do not hand out athletic grant-in-aid scholarships, they recruit a billion kids, and many of [...]
Some of you may remember that at this time a a year ago (to the date, actually) I put out a Way (Way) Too Early Guess at Notre Dame's 2018 Recruiting Class. It projected big things for the Class of 2018, including a Top 10 finish in 247 Sports Composite Team Rankings. Well, I got [...]
With the 2018 class officially wrapped up (a bountiful 27 players*) we're moving on to the next cycle. To date, the Fighting Irish already have 3 commits in the class and if you were too focused on National Signing Day this week here's a quick refresher: QB Cade McNamara - Committed back in mid-July as [...]
The 2017 Close, If It Was On Steroids The Irish staff closed the previous recruiting cycle with a flurry of activity; they busted their tails to snag a few key guys late and avert disaster. That close was impressive, but the way the staff closed elite prospects early and then snagged some potential contributors on [...]
Noah Boykin joined the 2018 Notre Dame bandwagon when he signed with the Irish today. The 6'2", 170-pound prospect out of our nation's capitol committed to Maryland back in July, but given his actions Maryland was probably a safety net - after that commitment, he visited Notre Dame, Virginia, USC, and Florida. He finally decommitted [...]
The 2018 Notre Dame class added one last receiver today when Lawrence Keys sent his letter of intent to South Bend. The 5'11", 160-pound Louisiana speedster took an official visit in January that made a big impression on him and his mother. He had interest for a long time but couldn't work out a visit; [...]
The 2018 Notre Dame class topped off its offensive line haul today when Jarrett Patterson signed his letter of intent. The 6'5", 285-pound Californian chose the Irish over a late push from local favorite UCLA; Jeff Quinn deserves substantial credit here, as former OL coach Harry Hiestand had no contact with Patterson and Quinn had [...]
The 2018 Notre Dame recruiting class had a much-needed addition today when cornerback DJ Brown signed with the Fighting Irish. The 6-1/185 pound athlete out of Washington DC's St. John's College was an Under Armour All American this year and is the former teammate of current Notre Dame defensive end Kofi Wardlow. Recruiting Service Rankings [...]
The depth chart at running back is looking a bit less scary now, as Georgia running back C'Borius Flemister (C'Bo for short) has decided to flip from Georgia Tech and commit to the Fighting Irish. The 5-11/200 pound athlete out of Zebulon's Pike County High School is the second running back to sign with Notre [...]
Well folks, it's that time of year again... Even better than Festivus, National Signing Day is finally upon us. Tomorrow morning faxes will start rolling in, and by the afternoon the class of 2018 will be set and we'll all rejoice! No, I'm just kidding, we'll be moderately pleased for about ten seconds and then [...]
This weekend's Junior Day event for Notre Dame football has already started paying dividends, as Georgia defensive back KJ Wallace has decided to verbally commit to the Fighting Irish after his visit this weekend. The 5-10/175 pound athlete out of Atlanta is the 3rd commit (and 3rd composite 4-star) for the Irish in the Class [...]
Notre Dame will open the next recruiting cycle in earnest with a 2019 junior day this Saturday. This is Notre Dame's first junior day to fall before signing day for the previous cycle; the early signing period probably helped, but this is also a way of keeping up with the Joneses. Junior days have been [...]
