As the late great Yogi Berra said, it's getting late early out there. There are 164 prospects in the 2023 class with a known Notre Dame offer; 23 are committed to Notre Dame and a whopping 119 are committed to other schools, leaving just 22 uncommitted prospects still on the board in mid November. The [...]
It was a good time to visit Notre Dame if you're a cornerback. So it happened for Karson Hobbs who was in person to watch Benjamin Morrison put together one of the best games from an Irish corner in recent memory against Clemson. Hobbs, a commit to South Carolina since this summer, decommitted from the [...]
Notre Dame picked up yet another electric playmaker in its 2023 class when running back Jeremiyah Love announced his commitment today. The 6'0", 190 pound Missourian is fresh off his second visit to South Bend; he was in town for one of the big June official visit weekends and just came back for the Marshall [...]
The early national signing period opens up on Wednesday, December 21st and in keeping with recent tradition we can expect nearly all of Notre Dame's commits to officially commit right before Christmas. That leaves 78 days for the Irish to finish up their 2023 recruiting efforts. Recently, Notre Dame coaches were on the recruiting trail [...]
What heady times we live in... Notre Dame and Ohio State flipped back and forth for the #1 class ranking all July, with the Irish re-taking the spot right at the end of the month thanks to four-star cornerback Dion Johnson decommitting for the Buckeyes. Ohio State also lost out on a number of guys [...]
[fade in to gentle nature sounds] As the late summer sun sloughs off the demi-gloom robes of twilight, a landscape draws into view that is markedly different than the one the same heavenly traveler left us with not so long ago. The once-imposing Matterhorns that obstructed the precious natural resources the pride must hoard to [...]
After lunch time on Wednesday word began to spread that some good news could be coming imminently for Notre Dame in the recruiting world. Surely it couldn't be Jeremiyah Love? Would it be one of the 2024 targets? Perhaps it was really nothing and we'd all forget about it in the morning. Nope, a new [...]
Notre Dame added its 6th verbal for the 2024 recruiting class as Malvern Prep star offensive lineman Peter Jones committed to the Irish on Sunday. He becomes the first offensive line commit in the '24 class and brings Marcus Freeman and Harry Hiestand a big win over Penn State for one of the top players [...]
Notre Dame's run of recruiting in early August continues with their 3rd commit in 3 days as suburban Wichita, Kansas running back Dylan Edwards gave a verbal to the Fighting Irish on Saturday. He committed to Kansas State back on June 23rd and spent just 36 days in the Wildcats class before leaving it in [...]
This Friday evening Notre Dame picked up its 22nd commit of the 2023 class as Lakota West High safety/athlete Ben Minich committed to the Fighting Irish. His verbal comes after a late July scholarship offer and crucial visit to campus with Notre Dame quickly moving into pole position for his services. Recruiting Service Rankings 247Sports [...]
Stop me if you've heard this one: Notre Dame just landed a commitment from a blue chip linebacker. Continuing their absurd roll of the last two recruiting cycles, the Irish added four-star prospect Jaiden Ausberry to the second level fold today. The 6'2", 215 pound Bayou State prospect had talked recently about a potential fall [...]
What makes a down cycle at a certain position? I was curious because you often hear that one position or another are strong or weak for the year but we usually don't see a lot of talk about the numbers behind things. So, let's talk about some of them. So far we've covered the offensive [...]
In the late Brian Kelly era I argued that Notre Dame's head football coach needed to be a killer on the recruiting trail and anything less was putting a cap on the ceiling of talent available for the Irish. This would seem obvious to most college football fans but in the past Notre Dame didn't [...]
Notre Dame landed a potential #1 receiver today when blue-chip prospect Jaden Greathouse announced for the Irish. The 6'2", 215-pound Texan joins Braylon James and Rico Flores to give the Irish three four star wide receivers in this class; for a program that signed only nine such prospects combined in the previous seven recruiting cycles, [...]
Our last scholarship post came in the middle of spring practice during a time when recruiting was slowing down a little bit. Since then, things have picked up considerably, especially in the current 2023 class, as we continue the trend of nearly finishing an entire class a few months before the Early Signing Period begins [...]
